Yay! It’s finally here.

Ice Cream Hunt: Speech Sound Tracker is written by Julie Tushuizen, Speech Pathologist and Founder & Clinical Mentor of Grow & Tell Speech and Occupational Therapy, with clinics in Rhodes and St Leonards (Crows Nest).

Julie leads a team of speech pathologists and occupational therapists supporting families across Sydney’s Lower North Shore and Inner West.

With over 16 years of experience supporting children and families, Julie created this book to answer the question she’s most often asked:

“When do children say the ?? sound?”

This engaging storybook helps parents and educators understand and track children’s speech sound development in a simple, confidence-building way.

Designed for children aged 4–6 years, the book includes:

  • An easy-to-understand table outlining typical speech sound milestones

  • A reusable, photocopiable speech sound checklist

  • A playful rhyming story that keeps children engaged

  • Want a free Speech and language milestones guide? Download it here..

It’s a practical speech therapy resource for parents, teachers and educators — all wrapped inside a joyful ice cream adventure.

Looking for the perfect gift for a parent, childcare teacher, or school? This is a resource they’ll use again and again.

Illustrated by Cara Ord, whose work includes projects with The Wiggles and Scholastic, the book brings speech learning to life through warm, memorable characters.
