Social Skills Groups for Kids in Sydney
Expert-Led Social Groups Helping Children Thrive
At Grow & Tell, our social skills groups in Sydney are designed to help all children build confidence and thrive socially. We offer in-person group therapy sessions, which are led by our experienced speech and occupational therapists. Our small-group sessions provide a safe, fun, and supportive environment for children to connect and grow, and are tailored to suit different ages and needs.
We are dedicated to developing key skills like communication, emotional regulation, and positive peer interactions to support your child’s social development. For those who are out of area, we offer tailored support via telehealth, so you can apply professional strategies in your own home.

-
Small Group Setting
Our small group sizes ensure personalised attention for each child. Frequent peer interaction allows the children to communicate and practise the skills with each other in a supportive environment.
-
Evidence-Based Therapy
All sessions are run by our qualified Speech Therapists and OT professionals. They use proven, research-backed strategies that are carefully tailored to each child’s needs. We believe in ongoing professional development and the highest standards, so we are continually learning every week to stay above the curve with the most up-to-date research.
-
Skill Development Focus
Sessions focus on various core skills related to social communication, including conversation, emotional regulation, social cues, and perspective-taking. Each of these goals is targeted without the child knowing that they are learning, and reinforced with natural praise and encouragement.
-
Interactive Activities
Interactive activities are crucial for young minds. Therefore, games, role-plays. people-games and real-world scenarios are consistently used to keep learning engaging and hands-on. We have a huge amount of resources that we frequently draw upon and even seek feedback from the children about which resources they are most connected to.
-
Supportive Environment
In all our social skills therapy sessions, we create a safe, supportive and encouraging environment where children feel confident to try new things, make mistakes and grow socially. Social skills and perspective taking is taught with an educational focus so that children learn internally and are motivated by real-life experiences, rather than a peer pressure approach, which can be non beneficial for the child.
-
Ongoing Progress Monitoring
Our experienced therapists monitor the progress of all the children through observation and feedback. They adjust goals and strategies as needed to ensure ongoing development. Progress notes are taken during and after each sessions. A parent-only telehealth is organised every month so that progress updates and shared goals can take place.
