Japeth Tico Dia

Japeth is a passionate occupational therapist who is guided by the philosophy that children

learn best through play. He is trained and educated in the Philippines and the United States

where he completed his Bachelor’s Degree and Master of Arts in Occupational Therapy,

respectively.

He has recently moved to Australia to bring his expertise to new communities

while continuing his professional learning and growth. He is driven by a passion for helping

children and families achieve their goals. Specializing in pediatric practice, Japeth is guided

by the neurodiversity-affirming paradigm and incorporates therapeutic models that are

play-based, strengths-based, family-centered, and trauma-informed.

He is also certified in Ayres’ Sensory Integration.

His professional journey encompasses clinical practice,organizational leadership, and academic roles.

Outside of Grow & Tell, Japeth enjoys driving to different places, meeting new people, and

learning cultures while drinking his iced matcha!
