Lucinda Longstaff - Speech Pathologist

Lucinda holds a Master of Speech Language Pathology from the University of Sydney and is a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist and member of Speech Pathology Australia.

Lucinda enjoys supporting children and young people with a wide range of communication and developmental needs. She has experience assessing and providing intervention across speech, language, literacy, fluency (stuttering), and social communication. She understands that every child communicates, learns and develops differently, and values taking the time to understand each child’s individual strengths, interests and areas where they may need additional support.

Lucinda is passionate about creating therapy sessions that are engaging, meaningful and tailored to each child. She draws on evidence-based approaches while incorporating children’s interests and everyday experiences to help them feel comfortable, motivated and confident during therapy.

She particularly values working collaboratively with parents, caregivers, educators and other professionals involved in a child’s care. Lucinda believes that supporting communication beyond the therapy room is an important part of helping children develop skills they can use confidently at home, at school and within their community.

With a warm, patient and family-centred approach, Lucinda aims to build positive relationships with the children and families she works with. She finds it rewarding to celebrate each child’s progress, whether that means developing clearer speech, expressing their thoughts and ideas more confidently, strengthening literacy skills, navigating social communication, or becoming more comfortable with their fluency.

Above all, Lucinda is passionate about helping children build confidence in their communication and supporting families to work towards goals that are meaningful to them.
